In Management 2023, the Betania project sought to provide comprehensive multidisciplinary care to 180 children and adolescents in situations of vulnerability and socio-educational risk, who are children of families at socio-economic risk.
In the Educational Support, children and adolescents between 4 and 18 years old, after attending their educational units, participated in the spaces of the Educational Support and Pedagogical Office (personalized attention), where they received reinforcement and leveling of knowledge, through a comprehensive and multidisciplinary intervention, not only in the performance of their homework, but also shared and interacted in different recreational and leisure activities, being a space of distraction and learning for life, which helped to improve their self-esteem. In the 2023 administration, 118 children and adolescents were attended.
In the Children’s Center, the children improved their cognitive development and skills through different programmed activities such as games, songs, dances, fine and gross motor and language exercises, as well as different recreational and sports activities, such as celebrations of important dates, marathons, recreational outings, and participation in activities programmed by the foundation. In 2023, 62 children were attended.
In both programs they were provided with daily and complementary food, medical and dental care (where they received medication according to the diagnosis) to contribute to a healthy development; they also received counseling and psychological care in specific cases.
