The Peripheral Integral Center is one of the projects of the Arcoíris Ecclesiastical Foundation. In 2023 it provided comprehensive care to more than 200 children and adolescents through two programs: Children’s Center (children from 1 to 4 years old) and Educational Support (children from 5 to 18 years old). This year we supported 229 children and adolescents, whose parents participated in “Parenting School Workshops” with topics that helped in the family relationship and improved their quality of life.
At the Children’s Center, children under 5 years of age were able to share significant experiences that helped them develop and improve their cognitive, motor and communication skills, to socialize and be autonomous in some situations, as well as to develop good habits of cleanliness and order, based on values; even those with special needs were able to develop adequately physically and emotionally. The different activities that supported the proper development of each child and adolescent are: cultural and recreational outings, free and symbolic games, songs, dramatization, puppets and others. In addition to having adequate food and medical and dental health care.
The children and adolescents (5 to 18 years old), after attending their classes, participated in the spaces of Educational Support, where they were supported in the leveling and reinforcement of the knowledge they acquired in the different educational units where they attended; the children and adolescents in the project felt safe, happy after receiving full meals every day, they also receive school supplies, medical-dental care, also performed different recreational activities, sports, outings and that supported and reinforced their self-esteem, their values, all in co-responsibility with their parents.
