Project “Calle”: Help poor people

Aimed at children, adolescents, young people and families who for different causes such as orphans, abandonment, domestic violence or others, live on the streets of La Paz, – Bolivia. To survive they resort to survival strategies such as robbery or prostitution and to forget their situation they use drugs, especially inhalants and alcohol.
A group of professionals visit these children on a daily basis in the places where they stay, providing them with social help, psychological therapy; they apply pedagogical processes, organizing sports activities and others.
Likewise, the Project “Calle” attends to young people in conflict with the law detained in the Qalauma Rehabilitation Center, which is a compound where a young population between 18 and 25 years of age is housed, both women and men, in segregated housing.
Through a psychological, social and educational orientation program, we seek to restore the lives of these young people, through a post-release program, they receive support in training and housing after graduating from the Center.
