The Workers Project belonging to the Arco Iris Foundation, intervened with children, adolescents, young people and working families; always with the spirit and the duty to enforce and prevail their rights, seeking to prevent different risks, such as assuming life on the street, breaking the emotional ties with the family, dropping out of school or college, engaging in alcohol consumption or other drugs and finally entering into criminal activities.
The population assisted by the Workers Project are NNATs who carry out any type of labor activity, families in vulnerable situations and/or poverty, who are in labor activity exposing their children to any type of risk; also with families who develop small informal commercial activities, encouraging the culture of saving.
The Workers Project this year 2023 worked with 634 beneficiaries, population attended and registered to date since the beginning of the year, offering to this population the services of: food, health assistance, social, psychological, educational attention, accompaniment and daily monitoring, support in school supplies and recreational activities, training workshops and training courses, making a number of 2503 attentions of the different services offered by the foundation through the project; These activities were developed in urban spaces, areas and commercial streets, in the city of La Paz and El Alto.
On the other hand, we encourage children, adolescents, young people and working families to prioritize their studies by providing support through training workshops, basic training, scholarships and life projects.
